Elena & Eric | Engagement

Coffee consumed, my daily smoothie in hand, and our usual Monday meeting place.  My favorite way to start the week!  I hope everyone enjoyed some great weekending, and celebrated all of the amazing Mothers in their lives!  They sure deserve it don’t they!? Elena and Eric are keeping us company today, and let me tell you, they are pretty darn great.  They are natural and kind, and they create a harmonic balance for one another.  We snapped some photos in their cozy home, and strolled through their cute neighborhood, camera in tow.  It was like hanging out with old friends.. easy, fun, and natural.  Even little Roscoe made an appearance!  Absolutely, completely looking forward to this wedding (party!) in June!

SO BUSY.  Non-stop.  In an absolutely great kind of way.  I have been doing several smaller posts as of late, as the inevitable to-do list keeps growing longer and longer.  But, it wouldn’t be a Monday without checking-in with all of you fine folks, and at least posting one or two frames.  It’s a Monday ritual afterall!  I just returned home from meeting with two wonderful people (hi Erin and Dan!), and we shared stories and laughter over good coffee.  It was a great way to start the week, and I really cannot wait for their September wedding. : )  My year is typically filled with engagements and weddings, but every once in awhile, I try to squeeze in a few family sessions.  Here is one frame of sweet Hudson.  She wasn’t entirely happy that day, but I love that this was true to the moment.

Boy oh boy.  Monday already?!  I can’t believe it.  The days, the weeks, the months, they are flying by, and I am reminding myself to find time to breathe, decompress, and eat.  Actually, that’s not true.  There is ALWAYS time for food in my world.  Always. Especially popcorn. : ) But I digress, life is busy, but life is grand.  I spent my weekend with my camera and some great couples. Here is a little glimpse from Saturday’s sweet engagement session.  Much more on these two later.

Catching up today after an incredibly busy, and very fulfilling weekend.  But, I can’t get through this Monday without checking in and posting at least two frames from this weekend’s shoot.  I spent some time with these two and their family on Saturday, and let me tell you, they are all my family too.  They are very dear to my heart, and I was humbled that they wanted to be in front of my camera.

Then, we ate lots and lots of Italian food.  Perfect end to a perfect day.  Much more on this family later.

Michelle & Christopher | Engagement

This weekend was a no-plans-no-place-to-be-whatsoever weekend.  Literally, not one thing on the agenda.  Those weekends are rare, so it was pretty darn great.  We spent some time in our favorite place (Santa Barbara!), rode the beach cruisers, watched movies, went to the driving range (still working on my slice!), and ate at our favorite restaurant.  Absolute perfection.  I’m feeling wonderful and refreshed on this Monday, and I am excited to share some pics from a sweet engagement session.  Michelle and Christopher are kind, down to earth, and natural.. yep, definitely my favorite kind of people.  We strolled around La Jolla, we chatted, we shared lots of laughter, and we took some pics along the way.  Thank you, Michelle and Christopher, for spending such a fantastic afternoon with me, and for being so warm and welcoming.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.  Until next week, friends!
